OBI
Loses Two Very Dear Volunteer Ladies
|

|
Maxine
Hustak began volunteering
with OBI in February of 1990. She and her husband Joe volunteered
together until his untimely death in 2002.
She helped at blood drives, served food in our center, and called
donors to let them know they were eligible -- acquiring more than
3,000 hours of volunteer service just to OBI. She also volunteered
with the Sundowners, Civic Center, Mobile Meals, Salvation Army and
AT&T Pioneers.
Always surrounded by friends and fellow volunteers, Maxine was loved
by everyone that knew her. |

|
| Gwen
Snyder was
an OBI volunteer for 16 years. Gwen had
a long struggle with emphysema and through it all contributed
over 2000 hours of service as an OBI Bag Lady. She was a spirited
and witty person and will be missed by all. |

OBI Volunteer
Needs
Become one of the 800 statewide OBI volunteers who enjoy working with
Oklahoma’s heroic blood donors. At OBI mobile drives, volunteers
are doing their part to help provide communities with a safe and adequate
blood supply.
|
| |
| OBI blood donors are provided with excellent customer service
by mobile volunteers. Mobile volunteers direct donors through the donating
process from signing in, to the canteen area. Volunteers also explain and
track the current promotions, pre-sign donors for their next blood drive
and let donors know when they are eligible to donate again. OBI Volunteers
are a necessary part of our on going life saving process. Get to know your
community, help save lives and have fun doing so. Please join our group;
call 405-297-5814 or email jdavis@obi.org. Thank you, OBI Volunteer Services |
